    These are exciting times for HR Butler!  We have multiple positions available for energetic, personable and professional individuals with a talent for embracing technology.  Knowledge of group benefits or HR with HRIS software is helpful.  Our new state of art software will create rapid growth in 2016 and we must have the great people onboard to manage this growth.

    DEPARTMENT:  Technology

    FLSA: Non-exempt

    Position Summary:

    Manage a Payroll Company’s Information Systems policies to assure the development and implementation of data processing, computer operations and related functions (communications, office systems, production activities, etc.)   Provide ongoing analysis and planning of information systems. Make recommendations for changes, upgrades, and new projects to facilitate meeting the dynamic business needs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    § Creates Reports for Clients and co- workers, knowledge of payroll industry preferred.

    § Assist co-workers and clients with both payroll and timekeeping software.

    § Evaluates business needs, objectives, and goals, by researching available products and designating procedures to best meet those needs. Maintains awareness of changing trends and regulations and acts as required.

    § Develops implementation plans for new projects by coordinating process with project leader. Provides well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.

    § Develops configuration and performance standards. Implements and monitors controls to ensure such maintenance.  Develop and maintain a Disaster Recovery Plan.

    § Makes purchasing recommendations based on bid pricing provided by monitoring accurate records maintenance.

    § Ensures technology utilization providing a fast, accurate, and secure method to access information in a highly efficient and effective manner. Ensures service support in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.

    § Performs preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshoots and repairs on a variety of computer systems and peripheral equipment.

    § Deploys new hardware, software, networking and security updates.

    § Maintains an inventory of equipment, service contracts, warranty and maintenance agreements.

    § Assists users, both remotely and in-person, to diagnose and resolve problems, escalates when necessary, and documents problem status and action taken.

    § Prepares and maintains documentation in accordance with prescribed standards.

    § Maintains appropriate professional designations and up-to-date knowledge of current information technology techniques and tools.

    § Answers incoming calls, and politely interfaces with customers in person and over the phone. Customer communications may include informing customers of pricing, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by the customer.

    § Performs other related duties as required.

    § Analyzes customer inquiries to determine appropriate company products to recommend to customers.

    § Recognizes new business opportunities and brings them to the attention of management.

    § Listens to customers’ feedback and works with the management team to resolve customer problems.

    § Consults with other departments, the management team, and third-party delivery service personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.

    § Compiles information and prepares various reports for management.

    § Communicates with customers via phone, e-mail, or in person regarding company changes in pricing or products

    Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

    § Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university; or equivalent education/experience in the computer science field

    § Minimum of three years experience in Systems Administration of Windows and Linux based environments.

    § Minimum of three years of experience with SQL and Database Administration

    § Minimum of three years experience developing reports using relational database tools like Crystal Reports

    § Extensive experience in Local and Wide Area Networks

    § Extensive experience with personal computers and software applications

    § Extensive experience with Data Imports/Exports

    § Experience with Visual Basic .net application development is desired

    § Industry Certifications are desired

    § Payroll knowledge is beneficial

  • DEPARTMENT: Payroll

    REPORTS TO: Payroll Manager

    FLSA: Non-exempt

    Position Summary

    Accountable and responsible for all aspects of quality service for clients. Contacts and assists clients in process of obtaining information for payroll production and tax related issues; verifies totals, responds to/resolves client questions and problems and delivers quality customer service.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    ·       Maintains a base of payroll clients relevant to size and complexity on all products.

    ·       Contacts clients daily to obtain payroll data including salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations and employee deductions.

    ·       Accurately keys all payroll related data necessary to process and meet deadlines.

    ·       Maintains a high rate of client retention through quality service.

    ·       Maintains client files.

    ·       Researches and resolves client/system problems.

    ·       Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clients, agencies and coworkers to promote a quality service image.

    • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

    ·       Associate’s degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or three or more years of office-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. College degree is highly preferred.

    ·       Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws is also a must.

    ·       Proven facility in MS Office, data entry and office equipment (i.e. telephone, calculator, PC, , photo copier)

    ·       Proven facility in customer service, and problem resolution.

    ·       Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

    ·       Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills.

    ·       Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.

    ·       Excellent interpersonal skills.
